Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are braced for another thrilling confrontation after the draw for the fourth round of the EFL Cup produced a Manchester derby at Old Trafford.

United bounced back from three defeats in a row to overcome League One side Northampton 3-1 while City won 2-1 at Swansea.

In another tasty tie Liverpool and Tottenham will fight for a quarter-final place at Anfield.

There will be a London derby between West Ham and Chelsea while Arsenal host Reading and Southampton meet Sunderland in an all Premier League clash.

The ties will be played the week commencing October 24.

Northern Ireland ace Paddy McNair, who scored the first goals of his career when he netted a brace in Sunderland's 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers, said: "It's nice to score but it was more important we battled hard and won the game."
