The football shirt worn by soccer legend George Best during one of his greatest-ever performances has sold at auction in London today for €24,000.
Best, who died last year at the age of 59, scored six goals while wearing the shirt in an FA Cup tie between Manchester United and Northampton in 1970.
The Northern Ireland international destroyed his opponents almost single-handedly during the game with a bewildering display of flicks, dribbles and headers.
