Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill relishing the chance to tackle Croatia in Windsor friendly
The Irish Football Association have announced that Northern Ireland will conclude their calendar year with a friendly against Croatia at Windsor Park on Tuesday, November 15 (kick-off 7.45pm).
Michael O'Neill's men will face the Croatians, who are ranked 14th in the world, four days after the World Cup qualifier at home to Azerbaijan.
Croatia, who are captained by Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric, topped their Euro 2016 group above Spain and Turkey, but were knocked out in the last 16 by eventual tournament winners Portugal.
"This will be a great game for us," manager O'Neill said. "Croatia are a top class European team and it's great that we will be playing them at home.
"We have not played a home friendly against this quality of opposition for quite some time. It will no doubt be a real test for us."
