Gormley: I'm back to fire Reds to glory

By Graham Luney

Joe Gormley says he's back at Cliftonville because the club is still in his heart and he's hungry to add to his trophy collection at Solitude.

The 27-year-old, who netted 122 goals in 183 appearances during a glorious four-year spell at the club between 2011 to 2015, rejected Crusaders' advances and now he can't wait to don his shooting boots again and fire the Reds to more glory.

"I'm thrilled to be back at Cliftonville," said Gormley, who has agreed a three-year deal.

"My major goal is to win trophies again with the Reds and I'm confident we can do that.

"I feel like I am back home because this club has a special place in my heart."
