Coleraine 1 Crusaders 0

Oran Kearney believes Coleraine have finally turned a corner by exorcising the demon of Crusaders.

Curtis Allen's 22nd goal of the season helped the bubbling Bannsiders avenge last week's Irish Cup exit at the hands of the Crues and even more painful, January’s League Cup final defeat.

“Now it’s time to kick on and give European qualification a real good shot,” says Kearney.

“We have put ourselves back into the mix with two games against Portadown to come as well as the other top four teams.

“These are exciting times considering where we were a year ago when we failed to get into the top six.”

Coleraine are now just a point behind third placed Cliftonville and four adrift of the Ports.

Kearney now wants his players to continue to demonstrate the courage they showed in beating the Crues.

“People have been harping on about our poor record against Crusaders but we have finally nailed that. Now we have to move on,” he said.

“This was easily our best performance since I came to the club. “
