Bates bags brace as Glenavon storm past Institute
Glenavon 4 Institute 1: Glenavon stormed back from the shock of falling behind after only 12 minutes to ease themselves into this evening's draw for the League Cup quarter-finals.
Having made six changes from the team which started against Linfield on Saturday, Gary Hamilton's men needed time to take control.

Three minutes later the Lurgan side were in front. This time it was man-of-the-match Guy Bates who did the damage after a blistering volley from McGrory came back off Doherty's crossbar.
Rough justice perhaps on Paul Kee's men who had always looked dangerous going forward.

Hamilton teed up another chance for his partner, but Bates fired straight at the keeper.
