Ivan Sproule elated to join Linfield, says Jonny Tuffey
Jonny Tuffey has welcomed new Linfield signing Ivan Sproule to Windsor Park.
Former Northern Ireland international Sproule, who won 11 caps between 2005 and 2007, was officially unveiled by the south-Belfast club last night.
Goalkeeper Tuffey revealed: "I have spoken to Ivan a couple of times and he is delighted to be joining Linfield.
"I have played against him for a number of years in Scotland and he will be a fantastic addition.
"Apart from the obvious pace and ability that he has, he will bring a wealth of knowledge and big game experience to the club.
"He has achieved a lot so far in his football career and I hope that his signing can push us on to further success."
The 32-year-old will be available to make his Linfield debut on January 4, when the Blues travel to Milltown to face Warrenpoint Town.
Meanwhile, captain Michael Gault has been hit with a two-match ban that will rule the midfielder out of the Boxing Day clash with Glentoran at the Oval.
* ARDS have signed Linfield goalkeeper Alan Blayney on loan until the end of season.
