Linfield get the job done against Tobermore United

Tobermore Utd 0 - Linfield 2

Warren Feeney was content to see Linfield get the job done against a determined Tobermore United.

In tricky conditions at Fortwilliam Park, two Andy Waterworth strikes were enough to send the Blues through to a sixth round showdown with Warrenpoint Town.

"Obviously you want to win by a more comfortable scoreline but I'm old enough to know now that 1-0 wins games and I told the boys at half-time they just had to keep a clean sheet and they'd win," said Feeney, who confirmed he was close to signing Peterborough United's Grant McCann.

"I'm pleased with it because it could be a banana skin. I've been in these positions before, playing teams that you're expected to beat, and they make it very hard."
