Portadown are happy to net former Lisburn Distillery keeper Billy Brennan
Portadown have swooped to sign former Lisburn Distillery goalkeeper Billy Brennan.
Brennan joins the mid-Ulster men on a one-year amateur deal.
The 28-year-old has been training with the Shamrock Park club and boss Ronnie McFall has brought him on board.
Brennan, who left Distillery in May after their demotion from the Danske Bank Premiership, will now compete with David Miskelly for the number one jersey.
McFall has been shuffling his pack after a disappointing campain and although several players have headed for the exit door, defender Emmett Friars and midfielder Peter McMahon have also been new arrivals.
The Ports boss is delighted to welcome Brennan to the camp.
"You want two experienced players for such an important position," he said.
Meanwhile, former Ports defender Brian Gartland has joined Dundalk.
