Larne midfielder Darren McNamee was runner-up to Dundela midfielder Kyle Cherry in the NIFWA Championship Player of the Month award for November. Carrick Rangers forward Jody Lynch was third.

Chimney Corner will be one of nine Belfast Telegraph Championship Two sides in the draw for the Fifth Round of the Irish Cup. The draw will take place on Monday, December 16 and will feature eight Championship One sides and two Amateur League teams. Strabane Athletic are the sole representatives from the NI Intermediate League.

Knockbreda's Coca-Cola Intermediate Cup tie against Carrick Rangers on Saturday has been selected to be tie of the round. Other intriguing Third Round ties see Shankill United play Harland & Wolff Welders, while holders Institute travel to Shorts.

Carrick Rangers fans have picked defender Ian West as their Player of the Month for December. West put in a number of fine performances as Carrick continued to improve under the guidance of new manager Gary Haveron.

Limavady United have announced that they intend to reform their reserve team and enter them into a junior league next season. The Roesiders have been without a second string since they were relegated from the Premiership in 2009.
