Six of the boss

Peter Thompson, Queen’s University

Biggest triumph?

Getting to the Irish Cup semi-final against Ballymena United last week. It has made us hungry for more.

Worst beating?

Our 3-0 defeat by Newington, a week before the semi-final. I’m a north Belfast boy, so it hurt.

Best junior player ever?

Owain Beggs, for his goalscoring and game intelligence. He is a match-winner.

Best one-liner heard at a match?

After scoring, Innes Gray said to Mick McCready: “I’ve been waiting for you to make that pass all season.” Mick replied: “I’ve been waiting for you to make that run all season!”

Favourite motto?

In union there is strength.
