10-man Lisburn Distillery hold on for draw against Linfield

Aaron Boyd wheels away in celebration after registering Lisburn Distillery's equaliser against Linfield at Windsor Park

A spirited Whites side kept their hopes of avoiding relegation alive when Aaron Boyd hit back with an equaliser just 12 minutes after Michael Gault's left foot finish had put the Blues into the lead early in the second half.

Distillery could have won the game, but they held on after being reduced to 10 men when David McCullough was sent-off late on, to close the gap on Donegal Celtic at the bottom to five points, with two games in hand.

Whites manager Tim McCann has bullishly declared that 'relegation won't happen on my watch' and his team are doing their utmost to it's not just talk from their boss.

"A point is a fantastic result for us at Windsor Park," said McCann.

"We have gained a point on Donegal Celtic and we will be in the Premier League next season and I have no qualms in saying that. "
