A new look for Glentoran and Linfield
Monday, 21 July 2008
Belfast’s Big Two will also be turning out in fresh, new kits for the new season, provide by sponsors UMBRO.
After recently unveiling new away kits – Linfield for their Irish Cup final win over Coleraine in May and the Glens for their UEFA Cup campaign – both teams will launch their home outfits for the 2008-09 season in the week leading up to the kick-off of the new Irish FA Premiership.
Linfield’s new shirts – which are, of course, blue – will go on sale a week before their first game away to Lisburn Distillery, with a breakfast launch at Windsor Park on Saturday August 2.
Glentoran fans will have to wait just a little longer as theirs is available from midnight on Thursday August 7, with doors opening from 10pm and the new look Oval Superstore will be open all day Friday before the home game with Ballymena United the following day.
The Belfast Telegraph has teamed up with UMBRO to give two lucky fans – one of each club – a signed shirt and two tickets for a Big Two game. Our Linfield winner will be a guest when the Blues host Glentoran in the Setanta Sports Cup in September, while the Glens winner will win tickets for the first Big Two league game of the season at the Oval.
To be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is tell us who you support and how many league titles your team has won.
