Beckett looks to brighter horizons

It is arguably a bit early in the season to be taking about relegation 'six-pointers,' but when Armagh City travel to Institute today, there is plenty at stake.

Victory for Stute would take Liam Beckett's men level on points with City and up into joint 11th, however a defeat, coupled with results not going their way below them, could see them join Larne at the bottom.

Gary McKinstry's side have won three this season but two of those have come in the last three games, giving Armagh a recent lift up the table.

Now City will be hoping to build on an unbeaten run that has seen them fail to lose in a month.

During that time, Institute have had to deal with Portadown, Linfield and Cliftonville and by all accounts weren't turned over in any of them.

Now Beckett will be looking to come out of the other end of that fixtures horror by getting on the winning track.
