Kevin Braniff last night pledged his future to Portadown — with Glentoran ready to swoop for the Shamrock Park star.
Manager Ronnie McFall has tied Braniff to a new three-year deal after the Glens declared their interest in the player by writing to the Ports requesting permission to speak to the 26-year-old.
“In our opinion Kevin Braniff is the best player in the league,” said McFall.
“It was always our intention to keep him and more importantly he was happy to stay with us.”
