Cliftonville and Newry back in their Sunday best

Cliftonville and Newry City will meet on a Sunday for the second time this season.

The faced each other in the first Irish FA Premiership match to be pre-planned for a Sunday at the Newry Showgrounds back in September and will now meet at Solitude next month.

The match planned for Saturday November 14 will now be played a day later, with a 2pm kick-off on Sunday November 15.

It means the Reds and Newry will avoid a potential clash with Northern Ireland’s friendly against Serbia at Windsor Park which was announced yesterday, but the moving of the league game was already some way down the line before confirmation of the international fixture.
