Cliftonville star Boyce sign with Rio Ferdinand's agency

Cliftonville striker Liam Boyce has been snapped up by the management agency who look after newly appointed England captain Rio Ferdinand.

The teenage hotshot has been signed by New Era Sports Management who also boast Manchester United defender Ferdinand among their clients.

Red hot Boyce has netted 14 goals so far this season and this latest link-up makes a move across the water more likely.

Pete Smith, director of New Era and Boyce's agent, said: “We have a consortium in Ireland and Liam Boyce has been watched for a while. We believe that Liam has a great opportunity to make it at the top level and we will provide the tools he needs to move forward.

“He might have to move to one or two clubs before he gets to where he wants to be. It's all about opportunities.”
