Hi °C | Lo °C David Platt is confident that his Coleraine side will soon be back in the top half of the Carling Premiership table, after last season’s impressive fifth place finish.
With only six games gone in this campaign the table has yet to take shape. The Bannsiders are currently sitting in eighth, with seven points, but still have plenty of time to move upwards.
And Platt sees signs that it won’t be long in coming.
“Performance levels have been excellent; we’re playing good football, creating good chances and getting into the right areas,” said the Coleraine boss, ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Glenavon.
“We’re working extremely hard defensively for each other as well and we’re not far away from getting points.”
Rory Patterson started the season on fire, his goals haven’t been as frequent of late, but that is also something that Platt believes is simply a matter of time.
“We’ve been creating plenty of chances and it’s just a matter of getting the end product right and that will slowly but surely come when we’re working hard to get people into the right areas,” said Platt.
“I’m not panicking; I would be if we weren’t playing well, but performances have been good.”
