Derry determined to end goal famine

Derry City take on Finn Harps looking to end a goal drought which has lasted four league matches when they meet them in the Eircom League Cup at the Brandywell this evening.

City were held to a scoreless draw by bottom side Galway United on Friday evening, a result which has seen them slip to fourth in the Premier Division table after leading it a month ago.

Newly promoted Harps are vying for that place at the foot of the table with Galway having lost their last six games in the league this season.

Patrick McCourt made his return after an absence of three matches through injury on Friday and should take his place in the starting line-up, although manager Stphen Kenny may look to play both Kevin Derry and Mark McChrystal in their first matches of the season.
