Hamilton’s fear for Glentoran's kids
Friday, 20 November 2009
Gary Hamilton has warned Glentoran’s boo-boys that they could shatter the confidence of the club’s younger players.
The criticism aimed at the manager Alan McDonald and his players will not keep the former Northern Ireland striker awake at night but he is worried at the impact it will have on promising young Oval talent such as Johnny Black, James Taylor, Grant Gardiner and Jimmy Callacher.
Hamilton said: “For players like myself, Leeper (Paul Leeman) and Keith (Gillespie), this criticism is nothing new and we have heard it before but I do worry about the younger players.
“Their confidence can be fragile and when you have a situation where a player doesn’t want the ball then problems will arise. Fans will show their frustration but I’m worried about the impact on younger players. Alan (McDonald) has taken a lot of flack and it might have shocked them. We all have to respond in the right way.”

Yes the fans are to blame. Don't ever dare boo dire performances. Loving all this propaganda.
Glentoran players should shut up and start winning.

The boo boys are booing for a reason! What you're saying is it's your fault you're playing so badly but we should all just quietly take it?
You can sort out the boo boy problem very easily. Give us something to shout about.
McDonald out!
