Tommy Wright has made his first backroom appointment since taking over as manager of Lisburn Distillery.

The Ballyskeagh boss has taken almost two months to evaluate the staffing at the club and that has brought about a change in manager with the club’s second string.

And that sees the much travelled Norman Kelly, who has played in England, Scotland and Australia as well as spells in the Irish League with Linfield, Glenavon and Crusaders, leave his post as assistant manager of Bangor to move to New Grosvenor, replacing David Taylor.

“Norman Kelly is someone who I was delighted to get on board and it was only recently that he became available,” said Wright.

“I would like to thank David Taylor for all the work he has done at Lisburn Distillery Football Club and his departure is no reflection on him.

“As I explained to him I have always appointed my own staff at every club I have been with. I, along with the club, wish him all the best in the future.”

The Whites remain stuck to the bottom of the Carling Premiershp table — six points adrift of Institute — and are looking for only their third league win of the season when they travel to Cliftonville tomorrow afternoon.
