The decision to ban Boxing Day and holiday fixtures between Linfield and Glentoran for two years has been overturned.
The original ruling which followed trouble at the Windsor Park derby on December 26 last year was made by the Irish FA Disciplinary Committee.
Both clubs strongly objected issuing appeals which were heard last night by the IFA Appeals Committee. The appeals panel today described the ban as unjust and inappropriate.
It is not the first time the IFA Disciplinary body has been at odds with the IFA Appeals Committee.
The Blues and Glens are next scheduled to meet at Windsor on Monday night in a league game, televised by Sky.
Linfield striker Glenn Ferguson is an injury doubt for that game after fracturing his finger in the 3-0 Irish Cup win over Lisburn Distillery last weekend.
