Linfield stars’ futures remain in doubt

Linfield manager David Jeffrey

Several Linfield players have agreed new contracts at Linfield including centre-back William Murphy but the club has released striker Curtis Allen and doubts remain over the Windsor Park future of Robbie Garrett and Jamie Mulgrew.

The midfield duo want to progress into full-time football with Mulgrew considering a trial at a club in America.

Contract offers have been made to both players but with Michael Gault possibly out until October with an injury, manager David Jeffrey will be anxious to learn of the duo’s intentions.

While Allen leaves the Blues, players agreeing a one-year contract extension are Murphy, Stuart Addis, Kris Lindsay, Steven Douglas, Brian McCaul and Marcus Kane while Jim Ervin has signed a two-year contract extension.
