Former Portadown defender Henry McStay has earned himself a two-year deal with League Two side Morecambe.
Manager Sammy McIlroy handed the 23-year-old the offer of an extended contract after impressing since joining the club from Belgian side Royal Antwerp during the January transfer window.
McStay has become a regular in the Shrimps side and can now look forward to further establishing himself at Christie Park.
"League Two is harder than I expected I must admit, but I have got stronger the more games I have played and I am looking forward to next season already," said the Lurgan-born player.
"I have enjoyed my time here since joining in February and I was really hoping that I'd be offered a deal. On a personal level I am delighted to have secured my future for the next two years and I hope I can establish myself in the team in that time."
Former Northern Ireland manager McIlroy said: "Henry has showed what a good all round player he is and he will be an excellent player to have in our squad."
