Michael Dougherty - Harland & Wolff Welders
Dougherty helped keep Ards at bay, during The Welders 2-2 draw with Niall Currie's side at Tillysburn last Saturday. Goalkeeper Dougherty made two good saves from Darren Nixon's headers early on in the game before restricting Ards to two goals in the second half, when they were going for the full three points.

With the Coca-Cola Intermediate Cup and JJB Sports Irish Cup both now in full-swing, there were only five Belfast Telegraph Championship 1 games in the whole of January.

However, The Park hasn't let that stop them from running a Fans Player of the Month poll for January, with five fine nominees in contention.
