Linfield midfielder Robert Garrett has escaped a possible 10-match suspension.
The 20-year-old should have been serving a suspension when the Blues faced Glenavon in December, but after playing in that game no ban will now be served.
The Irish FA’s disciplinary com
mittee were last night forced to agree that without proof that the letter informing the Blues of Garrett’s ban being sent, he and the club could not be punished for not adhering to the suspension.
