Mark Knell, 1st Bangor manager
Mark Knell, 1st Bangor manager

Mark Knell, 1st Bangor

Nickname?

Just Kneller. The standard add-on type of nickname!

Biggest triumph?

I always go by the latest, in this case, getting us from Division 1C to 1B last season.

Worst beating?

When I was at Comber Rec, we lost a Steel & Sons Cup semi-final shootout to Brantwood. We had a penalty to win it, but it bounced twice before it got to the keeper.

Best junior player ever?

Ross Hagan. For his attitude, his professionalism and his will to win.

Best one-liner heard at a match?

An opposing manager told  his player, who hadn’t touched the ball: “get warmed up... you’re coming off!”

Favourite motto?

Be the  best you can be.
