Verner uncertain of Inver future

Marty Verner's future at Larne is in doubt.

The striker won't be in the team to face Dungannon Swifts this afternoon and the former Lisburn Distillery man may have played his last game for the club after joining from the Whites in the summer.

"I don't want to say too much before I talk more with the player and the board of the club and the player himself," said manager Paul Curran.

With his side stranded in bottom place, three points off the pace, Curran admits that time is running out for his side to keep touch with the host of teams just above them.

"You could call the Dungannon game win or bust, but the bottom line is that I just want to get points on the board for the supporters and the team," said Curran.

"Dungannon have had a few poor results themselves recently, but they're a good side and I'm more interested in ourselves.

"If we play as well as did for 78 minutes of last Friday's game at Ballymena then I don't think that we'll be too far away at all."
