Dazzling Ibrahima Drame is too hot for Manchester United's stunned young guns

Manchester United were taught a lesson by Aspire Academy as the boys from Qatar won the Premier Section of the Milk Cup with a comprehensive 5-1 victory.

Star of the show was Aspire front man Ibrahima Drame who netted a first half hat-trick, taking his tally to nine goals for the week and collecting the golden boot in the process.

Aspire boss Simon Jennings said:"We are trying to develop them all the time.

"We bring them to tournaments like the Milk Cup to expose them against players like Manchester United and it's a privilege to be on the same pitch as them.

"The boys were better prepared this year. We knew what to expect, got together early and were better prepared.

"The plans are to keep on developing and we know that we have a good group of young professionals on our hands here."

Drame's first arrived after seven minutes when Cedric Tchoutou galloped past United's left back Gyliano Van Velzan cross.

He then whipped in an inviting cross which found the head of Drame who nodded past a helpless keeper Joseph Coll.

It was two on 22 minutes with Cedric again the architect and Drame again the finisher.

The right winger provided a sliderule pass for the Aspire number nine to finish under Coll. The hat-trick was completed three minutes later.

This time the ammunition came from the left flank with Innocent Shoja floating a cross which that man Drame met to power a header into the top corner.

United didn't test goalkeeper Dungong Francois until 49 minutes when Mads Daehli curled a tame effort from the edge of the box. However it was Aspire who would be next on the scoresheet to make it 4-0 and Drame was the provider.

His pulled the ball black for Pape Badacar who tapped it into the empty net.

United grabbed a consolation on the hour mark when Tyler Blackett's free kick hit Jack Barmby on the back. The striker controlled before flicking the ball over keeper Francois.

However, the boys from Qatar competed the goalscoring 11 minutes before the end.

Substitute Samuel Darko's effort deflected off Drame with the ball to Oumarou Kaina who made no mistake firing into the top corner from seven yards out to complete the rout.

South American boys Desportivo Brasil claimed third place in the Premier Section, defeating last year's winners Etoile Lusitana 3-1 on penalties at the University.

Spurs were triumphant in the Globe final but also needed penalties to dispatch Californian outfit South Coast Strikers.

The best placed County side in the Premier section were John Bailie's Down boys who claimed the Vase title with a 2-1 win over Hartlepool in Portstewart.

Gary Neville could be key to Wayne Rooney's form at Euros

You might have thought that ruling yourself out of the first two games of football's second most important international tournament with a shocking flash of irresponsibility was quite enough to focus the mind of the nation's most gifted player.

Billy on the Box: DD’s big pair puts on blue show in Bavaria

What an epic battle the Champions League Final turned out to be. A clash between an organisation with a long and distinguished history, respected by friend and foe alike up against a relative newcomer, the plaything of a foreign oligarch, who is universally viewed with raised eyebrows.
