Addis not haunted by Oval nightmare

Armagh City goalkeeper Stuart Addis insists that he will sleep soundly over the next few weeks, despite the prospect of two more encounters with Glentoran before the end of next month.

The Glens clicked into overdrive straight away in last Saturday's opening round of CIS Insurance Cup games, hitting five past helpless Armagh.

With a return match on September 15 followed by another trip to the Oval seven days later for the league opener, it is little wonder that Addis is putting his concentration into the game in between.

"There was nothing I could do more than what I did to stop Glentoran last week," said Addis ahead of today's trip to Larne.

"At times they looked amazing and they took their chances really well.

"We had quite a few players missing as it was and Chris Walker's injury left us struggling at the back, but we will bounce back.

"We have to play Larne and Lisburn Distillery twice before we play the Glens again and will be looking to pick up points in those matches."
