Moorhouse flourishes in Glenavon's dominant win
Glenavon 3 Ballinamallard Utd 0
A dominant display from Glenavon earned a 3-0 win over Ballinamallard at Mourneview.
The Lurgan Blues played the wind and got their noses ahead in the 12th minute when Colm McLaughlin's wayward clearance landed plum on the foot of Andy Hall, who made no mistake.
Hall was involved again when he whipped a great ball to the back post for Greg Moorhouse, but a touch from Stuart Hutchinson did enough to put him off.
Mallards keeper Richard Brush was beaten for a second time in the 88th minute when substitute Mark Sykes swept home after boss Gary Hamilton, Guy Bates and Moorhouse combined to tee him up for the simplest of finishes.
And in stoppage time, Moorhouse capped a brilliant attacking display with a stunning solo goal, cutting in from the right wing to leave his man for dead and sweep under Brush to make it 3-0.
