Bann boys will be after revenge: DJ

By Graham Luney

David Jeffrey will warn his high-flying Ballymena United side that they must survive a revenge mission on Boxing Day.

The Sky Blues' festive scrap with Coleraine will be at the Warden Street Showgrounds and Jeffrey knows the Bannsiders are still smarting from their League Cup semi-final loss at the same venue earlier this month.

Jeffrey will be gripped by Boxing Day fever once again on Monday after sending Linfield into battle in the winter showdowns against Glentoran during his 17 and a half years as Windsor Park supremo.

"Coleraine be out for revenge, there is no question about that," he said. "They'll still be smarting. I've got to say the League Cup semi-final was an absolutely fantastic occasion. The atmosphere was brilliant.

"It was a great game and this one will be the same. I'm sure they'll be wanting to turn the tables, but we'll be up for it. We are looking forward to it."
