Cliftonville v Glentoran: Win a Marie Cure Irish Cup Final signed shirt
Marie Curie Cancer Care has teamed up with the Belfast Telegraph to celebrate being given the naming rights to Saturday’s Irish Cup Final.
Ahead of the much anticipated match, taking place between Cliftonville and Glentoran at Windsor Park this weekend, we’re offering two lucky readers the chance to kick their weekend off in style, by winning a football shirt of your choice signed by the stars of your favourite team in the final.
As well as Marie Curie nurses being tasked with the traditional coin flip to start the match, Marie Curie will have collectors in the stands on Saturday asking supporters to donate whatever they can afford to help provide more nurses in the community and at our Belfast hospice.
Anne Hannon, Corporate Development Manager for Marie Curie said: “We are delighted to be given the naming rights to Irish Cup Final, by the Irish Football Association and to be offering two lucky readers the chance to win signed Cup Final shirts.
“The Marie Curie Irish Cup Final provides us with a great plattform to continue to generate awareness about the work we do across Northern Ireland.
“Unfortunately, every five minutes someone dies without the care they need at the end of their lives.
“It costs us £20 an hour to pay for a Marie Curie nurse to care for patients, both in their own homes or at our Belfast Hospice. Last year, our Hospice cared for more than 2,000 patients at home and provided 80,129 hours of nursing care to patients with life-limiting illnesses including cancer, Motor Neurones Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and end stage heart failure.
“We need your donations to continue to provide this free service to people in most need, so look out for us in the stands at the match. No donation is too small!”
For more information on how to access help from Marie Curie, speak to your GP or district nurse for a referral.
