James Knowles keen for a fresh start with Cliftonville

James Knowles is well aware that his first task on returning to Cliftonville is to win the club's fans over for a second time.
The 21-year-old has rejoined the Reds after leaving Solitude for Linfield last summer.
Both the player himself and Cliftonville manager Tommy Breslin were keen to make the move happen after Knowles was released by new Blues boss Warren Feeney, following a tough time at Windsor Park which effectively ended when he joined Ards on loan in January.
"I already know most of the players because I've played with them before and the team's style of play suits me down to the ground," said Knowles about re-signing for the Reds.
"I'm looking forward to working with the coaching staff again and obviously the manager as well, who I don't think gives himself enough credit for the job he's done here, plus the fans, who were great to me when I was here the first time – and gave me plenty of abuse during the last year.
"When I played against Cliftonville for Linfield at Windsor, I was getting all sorts of stick from the supporters and I gave a wee bit back when I scored.
"That's just part of football and I don't think anybody took any of it too seriously, but hopefully I can make it up to them with good performances in the future."
