Collins’ Dundalk move back on

Published 03/02/2009

Michael Collins’ move from Newry City to Dundalk was back on last night.

City have agreed to release Collins from his contract at the Showgrounds, meaning that subject to a medical he will sign for the newly promoted League of Ireland Premier Division side.

Sean Connor has been chasing Collins throughout January and will get his man, albeit belatedly.

Collins will sign a two-year full-time contract with the Lilywhites and will play his first game for the club in a friendly against Lisburn Distillery next week.
