Crues' big hitters raring to go: Baxter

By Graham Luney

Crusaders boss Stephen Baxter will unleash his big guns on Linfield in the final of the County Antrim Shield tomorrow night.

The Crues and Blues will wrestle at the Ballymena Showgrounds and Baxter has received the perfect boost ahead of the decider with positive news on his wounded warriors.

Flying winger Gavin Whyte and frontman Jordan Owens were both rested for the 2-0 win over PSNI in the Irish Cup at the weekend but are fit for the shot at silverware along with skipper Colin Coates, who is back after suffering an ankle ligament injury in November.

"We rested a few boys but Gavin and Jordan are expected to be fit to face Linfield," said Baxter. "Colin has been on the comeback trail for a few weeks and been loosening up, we will see how his fitness is. It's good to get them all coming back."

Linfield defender Jimmy Callacher, however, is unlikely to feature after he limped off against Institute while Kevin Amuneke is suspended.
