Harryville Homers won their third Junior Cup in-a-row, thanks to a late brace from captain Gary Bonnes at Windsor Park.

Bonnes scored two goals in the final six minutes to kill Greyabbey club Rosemount Rec's dream of causing a cup final upset.

The 3-1 win completed a double for Ballymena club Harryville, who also won the County Antrim Junior Shield last week.

Homers boss Robert Duddy was overwhelmed after watching his side collect junior football's most prestigious trophy again.

"To win the Junior Cup once is a fantastic achievement for any club. To win it twice is incredible. Three times? I can't even put it into words and I'm not normally stuck for words," he said.

"To win the Junior Shield and Junior Cup in the same season is special."

Harryville were on their way after just 112 seconds. Alan Rainey sped down the right-flank before cutting the ball across the front of the goal where Paul McNeill took a touch before drilling past Chris Rice from close range.

Rosemount Rec Player/Manager Mark Miller found the net in the 24th minute. A 25-yard free-kick from Nicky Eccles was dropped by McCosh and Miller fired the ball into the net from inside the six-yard box.

Harryville Homers went ahead again with a well-worked goal in the 84th minute. Substitute David McWhirter sent a cross to the back post that was headed across goal by Darren Campbell and Gary Campbell turned the ball into the net from close range.

Bonnes put the result beyond doubt in the 88th minute when he slotted Paul McNeill's pass into the net from 10 yards.
