Dan is so desperate to star in showpiece
Ards League Cup hero Danny McKee has is pleading to play for his loan club in February's glamour final against Cliftonville.
The 20-year-old striker, who is currently on loan from Glentoran, came off the bench to score two second-half goals for the Championship club in Tuesday night's dramatic semi-final against Coleraine, before hitting the winning penalty in a nerve-shredding shoot-out.
His performance will no doubt have caught the attention of Glentoran boss Alan Kernaghan, who has limited options in attack.
In August, then Glentoran manager Eddie Patterson agreed to loan McKee to Ards for the entire season, but the Premiership club retained the right to recall the young forward during the January transfer window.
However, McKee would like to stay at Ards and play in next year's cup final.
He said: "I'm not sure what will happen in the January transfer window, but at the moment I'm hoping to stay at Ards, as I'd like to be available for the cup final. It's between the two clubs.
"Scoring the equaliser was incredible. The fans were going mad, which was great to see," he added.
