David Healy: Republic have nothing to fear in Play-offs

The Republic of Ireland should fear nobody ahead of Monday’s draw for the World Cup play-offs.
They showed against the Italians in the 2-2 draw last weekend that they can mix it with the best.
I did predict that Giovanni Trappatoni’s team wouldn’t lose and they really should have won.
Indeed, they thought they had when Sean St Ledger put them 2-1 up with a couple of minutes to go.
That should give them confidence for the play-offs.
Given the choice Giovanni Trapattoni would probably prefer to draw Greece, but Portugal, Russia and France, as Scotland showed not that long ago, are all beatable.
