Derry City 1 Bohemians 2: McGinley downs sorry City

Derry City's miserable season continued as they suffered another home defeat this time to Bohemians.
Once again their Achilles heel came back to haunt them as they failed to score when they were on top and also when they had clear cut opportunities. While at the other end Bohemians' striker Michael McGinley scored a second half winner.
Bohemians should have taken the lead in the first minute when striker McGinley broke in behind Peter Hutton but his screwed his shot wide of the target.
The visitors did however take the lead seven minutes later after some slack marking by Derry.
Northern Ireland under-21 international Chris Turner's corner found defender Dean Pooley and the centre back coasted in behind Ruaidhri Higgins, before side-footing home from six yards.
Derry should have levelled matters in the fourth minute when a great move ended with Killian Brennan's cross found Gareth McGlynn who somehow shot wide.
The Brandywell men deservedly equalised in the 31st minute when Higgins' corner wasn't cleared properly and the fox in the box Kevin McHugh turned the ball home from eight yards.
Just before the interval McHugh missed a golden opportunity to give his side the lead when he headed over from six yards after McGlynn's cross had found the striker totally unmarked at the front post.
Bohemians regained the lead in the 57th minute following a swift counter attack - McGinley raced clear of the Derry defence before side footing past a hesitant Pat Jennings, who was caught in no man's land as the ball rolled past him into the net.
Two minutes later a Brennan corner found an unmarked Eddie McCallion at the back post, but the defender's header was straight at Murphy.
That was the last real chance City created, however Bohs substitute Darren Manasarem missed a great opportunity in stoppage time as Derry pushed forward for an equaliser.
