Ballinamallard United manager Whitey Anderson saw his side move a step closer to a top six finish in their debut season in the Danske Bank Premiership as Jason McCartney's hat-trick eased them to a 4-0 win over Dungannon Swifts at Ferney Park on Saturday.
The Mallards boss though knows that the Fermanagh outfit have still more work to do if they are to hold off Portadown to secure a place in the top half of the table.
"We still have a lot of work to do," said Anderson. "It is in our own hands but it is not going to be easy as we're playing Glentoran and Linfield."
Ballinamallard had failed to score in their previous four outings but the goals returned on Saturday and Anderson hopes there is more to come.
"We didn't score in four, we're not letting in a lot of goals but we were just not taking our chances. We took them today though and hopefully we can save a few for next week as well."
Winger McCartney was to prove the match winner, bagging the only goal of the first half before securing the win by completing his hat-trick in the second half with Andy Crawford netting the fourth.
"Jason McCartney really won us the game. I spoke to him a few weeks ago about could he produce that wee bit of quality for us, and he did that.
"I'm absolutely delighted with the result and I thought the overall performance was very professional, we did what we had to do," commented Anderson.
