Larne manager Paul Curran has been given a boost ahead of Saturday's CIS Insurance Cup tie against Glentoran with the news that goalkeeper Chris Keenan will be available.

The Inver Park number one was called into the Northern Ireland under-21 squad on Tuesday for tomorrow night's game against Germany at Mourneview Park.

Under-21 boss Roy Millar has agreed to release the 20-year-old after the game, however, in order to face the Glens.

" It is good for us that Chris will be available on Saturday because he has been doing very well for us so far this season," said Curran.

" The under-21 call-up is a great boost for Chris and for the club and puts Larne on the map, but from a selfish point of view the main thing for me is that we have him in the team for Saturday."

Saturday's game at Inver Park has been brought forward an hour and will have a 2pm kick-off.
