Linfield 1-1 Glentoran: Blues held by Glens

David Healy cut a dejected figure after his Linfield side were held to a 1-1 draw by Glentoran in the Boxing Day Big Two clash at Windsor Park.

Mark Haughey headed the Blues in front on 12 minutes but the visitors fought back in the second half and Aaron Harmon's stunning header in the 60th minute gave Crusaders the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership to seven points and they took full advantage, thrashing Cliftonville 4-0.

“In the second half we weren't good enough,” said Blues boss Healy. “I try to set standards at the club regarding attitude and performance and I don't think it was there in the second half.”

Glens chief Gary Haveron said: “We could have come away with the three points had Nacho (Novo) tucked away that late chance but we've got to be happy with the point.”
