Danske Bank Women's Premiership leaders Linfield Ladies maintained their stunning unbeaten run this season with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Sion Swifts Ladies.

The third-placed Swifts had won their last three league matches but they found the Blues in menacing form at Rathmore Grammar School.

The Linfield defence was beaten for the first time this season in their fifth league clash but the leaders are marching on.

Blues coach Ryan McConville said: "I'm delighted to get the three points. We had two players out of the back four missing but we re-adjusted things and our defence did fantastically well.

"It was great for the players to adapt and in the first-half we were electric and very dynamic. The final ball that was lacking in the Cliftonville game was back here. Our second-half performance was not what we hoped but the players know they must go for 90 minutes if they want to have any chance of winning this league."

Mid-Ulster Ladies were looking to keep pace with the Blues at the top but they crashed to a 2-1 defeat to Cliftonville Ladies at the Mid-Ulster Sports Arena.

Last season's champions Newry City Ladies were held to a 3-3 draw against Crusaders Strikers while Glentoran Belfast United overcame Derry City Ladies 4-2.
