Dornan revels in wee Blues' festive glory
Linfield Swifts boss Alan Dornan celebrated the best day of his life as his young charges defeated Dundela in the Toals Bookmakers Steel & Sons Cup final on Christmas Eve.
"Honestly, I've won trophies and played in big games as a player, but this is the best day of my life," said the former Blues and Crusaders favourite after goals from Reece Glendinning, Cameron Stewart and Adam McCallum secured a 3-1 victory in front of 2,800 spectators at Seaview.
"It's my best day in football because I'm delighted and proud of every single player.
"We have worked for years to bring together a crop of talented young men who are capable of playing great football and winning silverware."
