Mannus' Bradford hope

Published 17/07/2009

Alan Mannus is hoping his gamble of walking away from Linfield will pay off during a trial with Bradford City.

The Northern Ireland stopper has spent the last week with the Bantams and has yet to concede a goal in the two games he’s featured in so far.

He appeared in the second half of the win against Premier League newboys Burnley and was given the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 win away to Bradford Park Avenue.

“At first look he’s certainly got the presence and physique,” boss Stuart McCall said. “We saw the other day that he’s a good kicker too.”
