Nacho Novo linked with Amateur League move
Speculation is mounting that former Rangers star Nacho Novo could be plying his trade in the Amateur League next season.
Novo spent last season at Glentoran but after his contract expired at the Oval, the 38 year-old is on the look-out for a new club.
Reports have surfaced linking Novo with a move to East Belfast, who will next season play in the Amateur League's top tier after winning Division 1A on goal difference.
Novo started only nine Danske Bank Premiership games for Glentoran last season, scoring three league goals.
The Spaniard spent six years at Rangers from 2004 to 2010 and became a hero of the Ibrox support in that time. He scored the winning penalty in the UEFA Cup semi-final in 2008, sending the Gers through to face Zenit Saint Petersburg in a final they would lose 2-0, with Novo coming on as a 77th minute substitute.
