Portadown star Redman out for month

Published 11/08/2009

Portadown have been hit by an early blow on their return to the Carling Premiership.

Ronnie McFall will have to do without left-back Ross Redman for around a month after picking up an injury in Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Crusaders.

The 19-year-old broke a bone in his foot at Seaview, but finished the game without suffering any pain and the injury was only discovered 24 hours after the game.

McFall is now likely to move Keith O’Hara back to his more familiar position on the left for Saturday’s home encounter against Glentoran, with Andrew Hunter, Gareth Porter and Chris Coleman in contention to play at right-back.
