Revenge is sweet as Institute beat Bangor

Institute striker Paul Brown has changed his goalscoring target following his 11th goal of the campaign, which saw off Bangor on Saturday.

The big centre-forward had originally set his sights on 20 goals but he feels the way things are going now then the magical 30 goals isn’t out of his reach.

“I set myself 20 goals before the season got under way, but I have now 11 goals so I’m just going to keep going and maybe hit thirty,” admitted Brown.

“We owed them (Bangor) one because they were a little bit rowdy whenever they beat us earlier in the season, but we got our own back and were a bit rowdy ourselves after our win.

“I felt it was a deserved three points because we battled well, had more of the possession and created the more chances. Michael Doherty made a great save just before I scored and that gave everyone a big lift.”

As for Brown’s manager, John Gregg he was over the moon that once again his side continued to battle right to the end.

“Once again Browner did it to be honest he missed one straight after it, but he keeps scoring the goals for us.

“He’s a good player who puts in a lot of work and he’s fantastic to have in the team.”
