Swifts aces signing on

Published 20/04/2010

Dungannon Swifts manager Dixie Robinson has wasted no time in securing the services of a number of his first-team squad for next season.

After guaranteeing their place in the top half of the table, Robinson is now planning on taking the club back into Europe and eight players have already put pen to paper on new deals.

Staying at Stangmore Park for the next 12 months are Dermott McCaffrey, Johnny Montgomery, Craig McClean and Timmy Adamson.

Michael Ward, Terry Fitzpatrick, Ryan Mullan and Ryan McIlmoyle have, however, gone a step further and they have all committed themselves to the Swifts for another two years.

Robinson will now focus on trying to ensure the Swifts don’t finish any lower than the fifth position in the Carling Premiership which they currently occupy.

The Swifts visit Cliftonville on Saturday.
